Shake And Bake Mix For Chicken
- 1 envelope instant tomato soup mix
- 4 Tbsp. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 c. fine crumbled corn flakes
- 1 tsp. onion salt
- 1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
- 2 1/2 c. Bisquick
- 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs, toasted
- 2 tsp. peppermill ground peppers
- 1 Tbsp. seasoned salt
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- Mix all ingredients together well and store at room temperature.
- To use this version of coating mix, dip fryer pieces first into milk and then into bag filled with 2 cups of coating mixture.
- Shake.
- Place 2 inches apart on lightly oiled cookie tin and bake uncovered at 400u0b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
- One cup coats 2 pounds of chicken fryer pieces.
- Yield:
- 7 cups of mix.
