Ranch House Round Steak

  1. Cut meat in serving size pieces.
  2. Trim excess fat.
  3. Slash edges of meat to prevent curling.
  4. Combine flour, mustard, salt and pepper.
  5. Coat meat with mixture.
  6. (Set aside any remaining flour mixture.)
  7. In heavy skillet, brown meat on both sides in the hot oil.
  8. (If necessary, use 2 skillets or brown meat half at a time.)
  9. Add reserved flour mixture to skillet.
  10. Combine water and Worcestershire.
  11. Stir into mixture in skillet.
  12. Cover tightly. Cook over low heat for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Remove meat to platter.
  13. Pour pan juices over and serve.
  14. Makes 8 servings.
