Hot Dip(Makes 1 Dozen Pints)
- 12 bell peppers
- 6 hot peppers
- 2 bulbs garlic
- 3 1/2 c. vinegar
- 7 tsp. cornstarch
- 32 oz. catsup
- 5 large onions
- 4 qt. chopped tomatoes
- 4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 (6 oz.) Louisiana hot sauce
- Chop
- peppers,tnions,
- garlic and tomatoes and put in large boiler.
- Add
- vinegar,
- sugar
- and salt.
- Boil on medium heat until
- mixture tastes done, for about 1 hour.
- Stir often as mixture
- settles to the bottom.
- Pour 1/2 pint of water and cornstarch and shake well.tdd this to boiling mixture, using a small amount at a time until your mixture is thickened.
- Add hot sauce
- andtatsup.
- Boil
- about 30 minutes more, stirring often. Process 20 minutes in pint jars.
