Beef And Cheese Crescent Pie(Deep Dish Pizza)
- 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 (9 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (8 oz.) can refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 c. grated cheese (Monterey Jack, sharp Cheddar or Mozzarella; divided use)
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- paprika
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- Grease bottom and sides of deep dish pan. Brown ground beef, onion and green pepper. Drain.
- Add tomato sauce and salts.
- Press rolls over bottom and sides of greased pan. Seal edges together.
- Mix 1 cup grated cheese and egg. Spread over rolls. Top with meat mixture.
- Sprinkle remaining 1 cup grated cheese over meat.
- Sprinkle lightly with paprika.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Let stand for 5 minutes for easier cutting. Cut in wedges.
- Leftovers are delicious!
