Baby Burgers
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 Babybel cheese rounds, or 10 slices Cracker Barrel Cracker Cuts Cheddar or any sliced cheese
- One 4.5-oz can refrigerated small biscuits
- Prep time: 15 minutes
- Cooking time: About 20 minutes
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Or preheat the oven broiler.
- Combine ground beef and salt; mix well. Scoop out about 1/4 cup at a time and form into small patties.
- Grill burgers over medium heat, 9 or 10 minutes on each side, until cooked through. Or broil them, 4 inches from heat, about 5 minutes per side. (Make sure there's no pink on the inside.) Meanwhile, prepare cheese slices and buns: Cut cheese rounds into 2 or 3 slices per round, or cut sliced cheese into 2-inch pieces. Bake biscuits in a greased cake pan for 8 minutes, or until golden brown. Slice biscuits in half.
- Assemble burgers with cheese slices and your favorite toppings.
- How kids can help: Grease pan; place biscuit dough in pan; garnish burgers with cheese.
