Mississippi Mud Pie

  1. Cream butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar.
  2. Work in flour and 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
  3. Spread evenly in a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Bake at 350u0b0 until lightly browned around edges.
  5. Cool.
  6. Add 1 cup powdered sugar to softened cream cheese.
  7. Cream well.
  8. Add 1 cup Cool Whip and vanilla.
  9. Spread on cooled crust.
  10. Mix both packages of pudding with 3 cups milk.
  11. Pour over cream cheese in pan.
  12. Spread remaining Cool Whip over and sprinkle nuts on top.
