Prune Sour Cream Coffee Cake

  1. Pour boiling water
  2. over
  3. prunes, let stand 15 minutes. Drain pit and
  4. dice
  5. prunes,
  6. add
  7. lemontind
  8. and set aside. Grease and flour
  9. 9-inch tube pan, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda
  10. and
  11. salt,
  12. remove
  13. 1/4 cup and toss with prunes. Cream butter
  14. and
  15. sugar
  16. until fluffy, beat in eggs, one at a time,
  17. slowly beat in flour mixture.
  18. Alternate with sour cream and
  19. vanilla, beginning and ending with flour, fold in prunes. Combine
  20. brown
  21. sugar, cinnamon and nuts, turn 1/3 batter
  22. into pan.
  23. Sprinkle
  24. with
  25. 1/3
  26. brown
  27. sugar
  28. mixture, repeat layering twice.
  29. Bake
  30. at
  31. 350u0b0 for 55 minutes or until done, cool in pan on rack 10 minutes.
  32. Remove from pan.
