M&M'S® Crispy Heart
- 1 bag M&M'S(R) Brand Milk Chocolate Candies for Valentine's Day
- 1 16-oz. can vanilla frosting
- Red food coloring
- 1 tube chocolate decorative frosting, with plain tip
- 1 16-oz. frozen pound cake(s), thawed
- Wire cooling rack
- Waxed paper
- 2- to 2 1/4-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter
- Glass measuring cup
- Prep time: 15 min.
- Decoration time: 10 min.
- Mix the marshmallows and butter in a microwave bowl. Cover the bowl with a piece of plastic wrap. Poke several holes into the plastic wrap. Microwave for 2 minutes or until melted. Add the cereal and blend.
- To make one large heart: Spray the cake pan with a non-stick spray. Press the cereal mixture into the cake pan, pressing firmly into the corners of the pan. Cool for 20 minutes. To decorate: Unmold the heart and set it in the center of the plate. Spread the top of the heart with the frosting, leaving a 1/2-inch rim around the edge. Make a single layer of M&M'S(R) Brand Milk Chocolate Candies FUN SIZE(R) for Valentine's Day on top of the frosting.
- To make small hearts: Press the mixture evenly into a baking pan coated with a non-stick spray. Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter (any size), press out cookie hearts. Decorate the cookies by first spreading them with white or tinted frosting. Then, cover the surface with M&M'S(R) Milk Chocolate Candies for Valentine's Day.
