Imitation Crab Casserole
- 1 block butter or margarine
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 8 or more fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 to 2 lb. imitation crab, shredded
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. monosodium glutamate (optional)
- 6 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
- 2 c. mayonnaise
- 1 pkg. garlic and cheese croutons
- 1/4 pkg. frozen peas (optional)
- In
- large
- pot, melt butter or margarine.
- Saute onion, celery and mushrooms.
- Add imitation crab and seasonings; mix well.
- Add eggs
- andtayonnaise; mix well.
- Add croutons and peas;
- mix well.
- Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan or casserole dish (spray
- with Pam
- first).
- Pan
- should remain covered for the first 30 minutes. Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 minutes.
