Sweet And Sour Meatballs
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1 lb. sausage
- 2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. ???
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 drops hot sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 can (large) pineapple chunks, drained
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- Combine first 6 ingredients.
- Mix well and shape into 1-inch meatballs.
- Brown in oleo over medium heat and drain.
- Place in baking dish.
- Combine cornstarch, vinegar and sugar in saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until clear and thick. Stir in remaining ingredients and pour over meatballs.
- Bake at 300u0b0 for 40 minutes.
- Makes about 6 dozen.
