Helen'S Applesauce Raisin Bread

  1. Cream together oleo and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add egg.
  3. Beat well.
  4. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and spices.
  5. Add to sugar mixture.
  6. Mix on low 1 minute.
  7. Blend in raisins and nuts. Blend in applesauce.
  8. Blend well.
  9. Pour into greased 9-inch loaf pans.
  10. Bake at 325u0b0 for 1 hour or until inserted knife comes out clean.
  11. Let cool 5 to 10 minutes.
  12. Remove from pans and wrap in terrycloth dish towel.
  13. This keeps bread moist.
  14. When cold, wrap in plastic wrap.
  15. Place inside plastic bag to keep fresh.
  16. Freezes well.
