Heritage Cookies
- 1 box real butter not margarine
- 1 (24 oz.) bag chocolate chips
- 1 (8 oz.) Hershey bar, grated
- 3 c. chopped walnuts
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 5 c. blended oatmeal
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 4 eggs
- Grind quick cooking or instant oatmeal in blender until flour consistency; set aside.
- Cream butter, eggs, vanilla and sugars until creamy.
- Set aside.
- Combine all dried ingredients and slowly add them to creamy mixture.
- Mixture will become very thick.
- Add all chocolate chips, all nuts and grated Hershey bar. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet.
- Cook 10 to 12 minutes.
