Frosted Sandwich Loaf

  1. Remove all crusts from loaf; cut bread lengthwise into four equal slices.
  2. Spread one slice with softened butter; cover with the first filling.
  3. Butter the second slice; place, butter side down, over filling.
  4. Butter top of slice; cover with second filling.
  5. Continue in same manner with remaining fillings and bread slices until all are used.
  6. Wrap loaf in waxed paper; cover with damp towel.
  7. Chill three to four hours or until fillings are firm. Just before serving, blend cream cheese with cream and salt until soft enough to spread.
  8. Unwrap loaf; place on serving platter. Frost top and sides with softened cheese.
  9. Sprinkle with parsley; garnish with tomato wedges.
  10. Cut loaf into 1/2-inch thick slices for serving.
  11. Serves 10 to 12.
