Macaroni And Cheese Pita(Makaronopita)
- 6 oz. elbow macaroni
- 5 to 6 large eggs, well beaten
- 2 1/2 c. lukewarm milk
- 2 1/2 sticks butter, melted
- salt to taste
- 1 c. crumbled Feta cheese
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 lb. filo leaves
- Cook elbow macaroni
- in
- boiling,
- salted
- water
- until almost done.
- Drain well.teat
- eggs
- well.
- Add milk and 1/2 cup melted butter.
- Mix macaroni with cheeses and stir lightly to mix.
- Add to eggs and
- milk.talt
- to
- taste.
- Stirtell. Carefully line 9 x 13-inch
- pan
- (which
- has been greased with melted butter) with 8 sheets
- of
- filo; brush each with melted butter.tour mixture into
- pan.top with additional 8 sheets filo.
- Brush each with butter.
- Sprinkle
- with water or milk. Bake in 450u0b0 oven for 10 minutes,
- then
- lower to 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
