Oven Caramel Corn
- 7 to 8 qt. popped corn
- 2 c. unsalted peanuts, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 1 tsp. maple syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- Put first 2 ingredients in large bowl.
- Bring next 7 ingredients to a boil in small saucepan.
- Boil 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat.
- Add baking soda.
- Stir quickly. Pour syrup over popcorn mixture.
- Stir until popcorn is coated. Place popcorn onto large flat pans.
- Bake at 250u0b0 for 1 hour, stirring several times.
- Mixture will be sticky.
- Stir occasionally while mixture cools.
- Break up popcorn if stuck together.
- Store in large airtight containers.
