Chicken Casserole
- 1 chicken or breasts and thighs equivalent to chicken
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (8 oz.) sour cream
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Stove Top dressing
- Cook chicken.
- Remove skin and bones; tear or cut chicken into bite size pieces.
- Mix together chicken soup (do not dilute) and sour cream.
- Add to chicken and stir.
- Prepare Stove Top stuffing according to package directions or use chicken broth instead of water (omit butter).
- Put chicken mixture in buttered casserole dish.
- Put stuffing on top.
- Bake at 350u0b0, uncovered, for 1/2 hour. This can be prepared a day ahead and then baked before serving. Allow a little more time for baking if it has been refrigerated. If you use broth for the stuffing, be careful of the salt.
- It may make the stuffing too salty.
