Beef-Filled Corn Bread Squares

  1. In skillet, cook the beef, onion and garlic until meat is brown.
  2. Drain off fat.
  3. Stir in catsup and salt.
  4. Set aside.
  5. In bowl prepare corn bread mix according to package directions (or prepare your own recipe).
  6. Spread half of the batter in a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
  7. Spoon beef mixture over batter in pan. Sprinkle with cheese.
  8. Spread remaining batter over cheese.
  9. Bake, uncovered, at 350u0b0 until corn bread is done, 30 to 35 minutes.
  10. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
