Apple Harvest Pudding

  1. In medium bowl cream sugar and shortening.
  2. Add egg and beat well.
  3. Combine flour, soda, salt and spices and add to sugar and egg mixture, alternating with 1 cup milk.
  4. Mix until moistened, then add the remaining fruits and nuts.
  5. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  6. Bake in preheated 350u0b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
  7. Can be iced when cool or served with whipped cream or ice cream.
  8. A thin cream cheese icing is good on this, and freezes well.
  9. Serves 15.
