Homemade Granola
- 4 c. quick rolled oats
- 1 c. sunflower nuts
- 1 c. coconut
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 1/2 c. unsalted raw pumpkin seeds
- 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1/3 c. water
- 1 c. finely chopped dried apricots
- 1 c. finely chopped prunes
- 1 c. raisins
- Heat oven to 250u0b0.
- Lightly grease two 9 x 13-inch pans.
- In large bowl, combine all dry ingredients, except dried fruit.
- In another bowl, mix oil and honey.
- Add to dry mixture.
- Stir until well blended.
- Sprinkle water over mixture one tablespoon at a time while stirring.
- Put into pans and cook for 1 hour.
- Stir occasionally until mixture turns light brown. Stir in fruit. Cook 15 minutes more until desired dryness.
- Fruit should be soft still.
- Cover and store.
