Buttermilk Pound Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Butter and flour a 10-inch tube or Bundt pan.
  3. Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time.
  5. Add vanilla and lemon juice; blend well.
  6. Sift together flour, soda, baking powder and salt.
  7. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
  8. Beat well after each addition.
  9. Batter should be smooth.
  10. Pour into prepared baking pan. If using Bundt or tube pan, bake for one hour.
  11. Cool on rack; unmold.
  12. Dust with confectioners sugar.
  13. Serves 8.
