Texas Chicken(You'Ll Use This Over And Over Again)
- 8 to 10 tortillas
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 3 c. cooked chicken, diced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (10 oz.) can tomatoes with chilies
- 1 medium onion, chopped and sauteed
- 3 jalapeno peppers, cut in thin rings
- garlic powder to taste
- seasoned salt to taste
- 1/2 lb. sharp cheese, grated
- Soak tortillas in chicken broth until broth is absorbed. Spread tortillas over bottom of 9 x 13-inch lightly greased baking dish.
- Add layers as follows:
- chicken, mushroom soup, chicken soup, tomatoes with chilies, sauteed onion, jalapeno peppers, garlic powder and seasoned salt.
- Top with grated cheese.
- Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and the mixture is thoroughly heated.
- Serves 8 to 10.
