Sunset'S Christmas Fruitcake

  1. In a
  2. large
  3. bowl,
  4. combine fruits, nuts, orange juice, honey, 2tablespoons
  5. orange
  6. liqueur and spices; set aside. With electric mixer, beat together butter and sugar until well blended; then
  7. beat
  8. in
  9. eggs,
  10. one at a time.
  11. Stir together flour
  12. and soda.
  13. Stir
  14. flour mixture into creamed mixture by hand.
  15. Add fruit
  16. mixture
  17. and
  18. stir
  19. until well distributed. Evenly
  20. spoon batter
  21. into
  22. 2 well greased 4 1/2 x 8 1/2-inch loaf pans.take att00u0b0 for 1 hour and 35 minutes.
  23. Cool in pan
  24. for
  25. 10 minutes,
  26. remove from pans then cool completely. Wrap cakes in double thickness of cheesecloth saturated with 2 tablespoons orange
  27. liqueur.
  28. Overwraptn
  29. foil.
  30. Store
  31. in refrigerator for 2 weeks before sampling.
