Brian'S Beef Stroganoff
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 lb. fondue or stew meat, cut into chunks
- 8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. garlic powder
- beef broth
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. sour cream
- To cook by microwave:
- Heat butter in glass bowl on High for 2 minutes. Add onion to butter.
- Cook on High for 2.5 minutes.
- Stir once.
- Add beef, mushrooms and garlic powder.
- Cook on Medium-High for 7 minutes.
- Stir twice.
- Drain and reserve liquid; add enough broth, if needed, to reserve liquid to equal 3/4 cup.
- Sprinkle beef with salt, pepper and flour.
- Mix together until flour thickens with beef.
- Add the liquid back into beef and stir together.
- Cook on High for 3 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Stir in sour cream.
- Serve over rice or egg noodles.
