Creme De Cacao Torte
- 2/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 2/3 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
- 2/3 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/3 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. creme de cacao
- 1 c. heavy or whipping cream
- 2 Tbsp. creme de cacao
- 1 Tbsp. Hershey's cocoa
- 1 Hershey's Special dark sweet chocolate bar (8 oz.), broken into pieces
- 1/4 c. heavy or whipping cream
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 tsp. creme de cacao
- Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Combine flour, 2/3 cup cocoa, soda and baking powder.
- Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture, blending just until combined.
- Pour into 2 greased and floured 9-inch layer pans.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until tests done. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans.
- Sprinkle each layer with 1 tablespoon creme de cacao; cool completely.
