Aunt Pee Wee'S Chicken Pie
- 1 (3 lb.) fryer
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 2/3 c. celery
- 1/4 c. oil
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/4 c. chicken broth
- 2 1/4 c. milk
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Boil chicken in salted water until tender and take meat off bones.
- Saute celery and onions in oil until tender.
- Add flour, one spoon at a time, to the onions and celery and blend.
- Add salt, pepper and margarine.
- Add chicken broth, stirring to blend, then add soup.
- Add milk, stirring constantly.
- Bring mixture to a boil and cook 2 minutes.
- Add chicken and pour in a greased 9 x 13-inch dish.
- Cover with Pinwheels.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 30 minutes or until golden.
