Sunday Entree
- 2 or 3 pork chops or 2 medium pork steaks
- cauliflower and broccoli flowerets
- chopped bell pepper (if you like)
- 1 can Sweet Sue or other chicken and dumplings
- Pan-fry pork chops or steaks in water.
- Cook until tender. Before meat is half done, toss in a few cauliflower and broccoli flowerets.
- Cover and finish cooking meat.
- Add only enough water to not scorch.
- Turn down heat.
- Add chopped bell pepper with flowerets, if you like.
- Open up a can of chicken and dumplings. Spoon onto skillet mixture and heat without lid.
- Be sure water is almost cooked away before adding dumplings.
- Can be served from frying pan or pour into Pyrex dish, spooning meat over into dish first.
- Finish in 325u0b0 oven for about 20 to 25 minutes to set and brown around edge of dish.
- Serve with salad and sliced tomatoes.
