Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat the oven to 375u0b0.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour and baking soda;
  3. set aside. In the large bowl of an electric mixer, beat the margarine, granulated sugar and brown sugar at moderately low speed for 2 minutes or until smooth and creamy, then beat in the egg, egg white and vanilla extract.
  4. Using a wooden spoon, mix in the dry ingredients and grated chocolate. Drop the dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing the cookies about 2-inches apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges.
  5. Remove immediately to wire racks to cool.
  6. Makes about 36 cookies.
