Tuna Lasagna
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped (undrained)
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans tuna, drained and flaked
- 8 oz. lasagna noodles, cooked, rinsed and drained
- 1 1/2 c. cottage cheese
- 1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- Combine tomatoes, tomato paste, spaghetti sauce mix, oregano, sugar and garlic in 2-quart heavy saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce heat to low.
- Simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add tuna; set aside.
- Place 1/2 of the noodles on bottom of 12 x 8-inch baking dish.
- Cover with 1/3 of the tuna sauce, 1/2 of the cottage cheese and 1/2 of the Mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat layers, ending with tuna sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in preheated 350u0b0 oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
- Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
