Manicotti
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 (32 oz.) can Prego sauce
- 1 egg
- 2 lb. cottage cheese
- 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated
- 2 tsp. chopped parsley
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 small box manicotti noodles
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- Brown beef and onion, drain.
- Add Prego sauce.
- In bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
- Boil manicotti noodles in salted water for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add noodles carefully so as not to break; drain gently.
- After noodles cool, fill with cheese mixture (egg, cottage cheese and Parmesan).
- In baking dish, pour thin layer of sauce.
- Arrange filled noodles over sauce.
- Make sure noodles do not touch.
- Pour remaining sauce over noodles.
- Top with remaining Parmesan cheese.
- Cover and bake at 375u0b0 for 30 minutes.
