Zesty Half And Half
- 6 Earl Grey tea bags
- 10 cups cold water
- juice of 5 lemons(1 cup)
- simple syrup or sugar
- zest of 3 lemons
- In a large pitcher put 6 teabags and 6 cups of cold water and leave until it makes strong tea (usually about an hour)
- Juice the lemons(you should have a cup of juice) and add about 3 cups of cold water. Zest at least 3 of the lemons.
- Mix the tea and the lemonade together and add sugar or simple syrup to taste. ( I usually do not add much sugar and leave that to each drinker)
- Rinse glasses and place in the freezer for about an hour prior to making the half and half so that they will achieve a nice frosty appearance when you fill them.
- Remove the glasses from the freezer and dip the rim in lemon zest. Add ice and add the half and half. Add more sugar if you want a sweeter version.
- If you want a sweeter drink, you can mix sugar with the zest and use that mixture to rim the glass.
