Mexican Chalupas
- 3 lb. ground chuck
- 1/2 tsp. garlic
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 cans (No. 303) stewed tomatoes
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomatoes
- 1 lb. pinto beans
- 1 1/2 lb. medium sharp cheese
- 1 1/2 c. onions (2 medium large)
- 4 large tomatoes, diced
- lettuce (2 medium), shredded
- 2 bags regular Fritos
- Cook beans according to directions on package.
- Shred cheese. Chop onions.
- Dice tomatoes.
- Shred lettuce.
- Pour Fritos in a large bowl.
- Serve in this order:
- plates, Fritos, cheese, pintos (kept hot in liquid), onions, lettuce, tomatoes and meat sauce. Serve with a light dessert.
