Asian Sliders With Red Cabbage Slaw
- Burgers
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons fresh ginger (or squeezeable paste)
- 1/3 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 6 mini burger buns
- Red Cabbage Slaw
- 1/4 head red cabbage, cut in large strips
- 2 carrots, peeled
- 1/2 cucumber, peeled
- 3 green onions, sliced thin
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon wasabi paste
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons brown rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Combine burger ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Use your hands to incorporate the ingredients.
- Shape into mini patties.
- Heat a frying pan over medium high heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Cook burgers 4-5 minutes on each side until done.
- Shred the cabbage, carrots, and cucumber in a food processor, or using a shredder. Place in a large mixing bowl.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Place a burger in a mini bun and top generously with the slaw mixture.
