Fried Chicken With Hot Cranberry Sauce

  1. Cut up broilers.
  2. Season with 2 teaspoons of salt, pepper and sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of flour.
  3. Sift remaining flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl.
  4. Beat in egg and water.
  5. Dip chicken pieces in this batter, coating them thoroughly.
  6. Heat the fat to 370u0b0 and fry chicken a few pieces at a time.
  7. Drain and place in baking dish.
  8. Cover and bake in 350u0b0 oven for 30 minutes. Remove cover for last 10 minutes.
  9. Combine cranberries and applesauce and heat in saucepan.
  10. Serve with chicken.
