Beef And Potato Pie
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. onion, minced
- 1 tsp. garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- salt to taste
- 1 Tbsp. instant coffee
- 6 to 7 baking potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 to 3 c. water
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. butter
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 4 to 6 Tbsp. cold water
- 1/4 c. milk
- Bake roast in water with onion, garlic, salt, pepper and coffee at 350u0b0 for 2 to 3 hours.
- Boil potatoes in water 20 minutes, then mash.
- Add milk and butter.
- Combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture forms small crumbs.
- Add water 1 tablespoon at a time until mixture forms ball.
- Divide and roll dough into 2 rounds.
