Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. In a large mixer bowl, cream the butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs; beat well.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.
  5. Spread batter in greased jelly-roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inches).
  6. Bake at 375u0b0 for 20 minutes.
  7. Cool completely.
  8. Cut into bars.
  9. Makes about 4 dozen bars.
