Banana Cake
- 2 1/3 c. flour
- 1 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- dash of salt
- 3 eggs
- 2/3 c. butter flavored Crisco
- 2/3 c. buttermilk
- 1/4 tsp. banana flavoring
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. honey
- 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 c. mashed bananas
- 1/3 c. walnuts, finely chopped
- vanilla or banana flavored frosting
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Beat all ingredients together, except bananas and honey, on low speed for 30 seconds.
- Beat on high for 2 minutes.
- Scrape bowl. Add bananas and honey.
- Beat 1 minute.
- Pour into cake pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or golden brown.
- Frost if desired.
