Granola Supreme
- 3 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 c. cornmeal
- 1 c. wheat germ
- 7 c. rolled oats
- 1 c. coconut (optional)
- 1 c. powdered milk
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 2 c. raw cashews
- 1 1/2 c. whole almonds
- 1 c. oil
- 1 c. honey
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- In a large bowl, mix together whole wheat flour, corn meal, wheat germ, rolled oats, brown sugar, powdered milk, coconut, cinnamon, walnuts, almonds and cashews.
- In blender, add the honey, oil, water, salt and vanilla.
- On low speed, puree until blended.
- Pour liquid over dry ingredients and mix well. Spread on large baking sheets.
- Bake at 275u0b0 for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Bake until light brown.
- Remove from oven and cool.
- Add dried fruits such as:
- raisins, dates, dried apples or dried apricots, if desired.
- Store in a sealed container.
- Yields approximately 7 1/2 pounds.
