Savory Sausage Balls

  1. In medium bowl, combine egg, sausage, stuffing mix and sage; mix thoroughly.
  2. Shape into 1-inch balls.
  3. Add to large skillet; cook over medium heat, turning occasionally.
  4. Cook 5 to 8 minutes or until browned on all sides.
  5. Remove from skillet; drain on paper towels.
  6. Drain fat from skillet; discard.
  7. Add water, ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce and vinegar to skillet; stir well.
  8. Return meatballs to skillet; stir to coat.
  9. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  10. Cover; reduce heat to medium-low.
  11. Simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  12. Transfer to chafing dish, if desired.
  13. Serve with wooden picks.
  14. Yield:
  15. about 24 meatballs.
