Crunchy Cheese Rounds
- 2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 c. margarine, softened
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/8 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 2 c. crispy rice cereal
- Blend cheese and margarine in large bowl.
- Sift flour, sugar, cayenne pepper and salt into mixture; add remaining ingredients. Work dough with pastry blender or hands.
- Pinch dough into small balls 1-inch in diameter.
- Place balls on ungreased cookie sheet and press down with palm of hand or fork, into small circle.
- Bake in preheated 350u0b0 oven for 12 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cool on wire rack and store in sealed container.
- Handle gently.
- These are very crisp.
- Yield: 11 dozen.
