White Chocolate Cake

  1. Melt the chocolate in the boiling water.
  2. Cream together butter and sugar; beat in the egg yolks, one at a time.
  3. Add the melted chocolate and vanilla.
  4. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
  5. Add this to the chocolate mixture alternating with the buttermilk.
  6. Do not cream.
  7. Beat the egg whites and fold in very gently.
  8. Stir in nuts and coconut.
  9. Pour in 3 (9-inch) layer cake pans greased and lightly floured.
  10. Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes. Let cool and frost with favorite icing.
  11. My favorite is Seven Minute Icing.
