Ham And Asparagus Pie

  1. Melt margarine in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir in next 3 ingredients.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Gradually stir in milk until smooth.
  5. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce comes to a boil.
  6. Boil for 1 minute.
  7. Stir small amount of hot mixture into mayonnaise; then stir into hot mixture in saucepan. Add ham, asparagus and lemon juice.
  8. Cook until heated.
  9. Turn into a pastry shell.
  10. Sprinkle with cheese.
  11. Broil about 2 minutes, or until lightly browned.
