Ham And Asparagus Pie
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise
- 2 c. diced, cooked ham
- 2 pkg. (10 oz. each) asparagus
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 baked 9-inch pastry shell
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- Melt margarine in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in next 3 ingredients.
- Remove from heat.
- Gradually stir in milk until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce comes to a boil.
- Boil for 1 minute.
- Stir small amount of hot mixture into mayonnaise; then stir into hot mixture in saucepan. Add ham, asparagus and lemon juice.
- Cook until heated.
- Turn into a pastry shell.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Broil about 2 minutes, or until lightly browned.
