Layered Mint Chocolate

  1. In heavy saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips with 1 cup condensed milk.
  2. Add vanilla.
  3. Spread half the mixture into wax paper-lined 9-inch pan.
  4. Chill 10 minutes or until firm.
  5. Hold remaining chocolate mixture at room temperature.
  6. In saucepan, over low heat, melt white pieces with remaining milk.
  7. Mixture will be thick.
  8. Add peppermint extract and food coloring; stir.
  9. Spread on chilled chocolate layer.
  10. Chill 10 minutes longer or until firm. Spread reserved chocolate mixture on top.
  11. Chill 2 hours or until firm.
