French Bread Puff

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Cut
  3. breadtt 1-inch intervals but not in slices.
  4. Mix margarine, garlic powder and onion.
  5. Spoon mixture between slices andtpreadtvenly.
  6. Wrap loaf in foil and place on ungreased
  7. baking
  8. sheet.
  9. Heattor
  10. 15 minutes. While bread is heating,
  11. beat
  12. egg
  13. whites until stiff.
  14. Separately beat egg yolks until
  15. thick.
  16. Fold egg yolks and cheese into egg whites. When loaf is ready, fold back foil to make a skirt.
  17. Spoon egg mixture
  18. over
  19. loaf.
  20. Baketntil topping is golden brown (about 4 minutes).
