Quick Swedish Tea Ring
- 1 frozen white bread dough, defrosted
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 2 Tbsp. margarine, softened
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. raisins
- Take bread dough and roll into rectangle (15 x 9-inch) on lightly floured surface.
- For filling, mix brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins.
- Spread margarine evenly across dough.
- Sprinkle filling evenly across dough.
- Roll up tightly, beginning at 15-inch side.
- Pinch edge of dough into roll to seal well. Stretch roll to make even.
- With sealed edge down, shape into ring on lightly
- greased cookie sheet.
- Pinch ends together.
- With scissors, make cuts 2/3 of the way through ring at 1-inch intervals.
- Turn each section on its side.
- Let dough rise until double (about 40 minutes).
- Heat oven to 375u0b0 and bake until golden brown 25 to 30 minutes.
- (If ring browns too quickly, cover loosely with aluminum foil.)
- Spread ring with glaze while warm.
