Spicy Good Chili
- 1 qt. water
- 2 lb. hamburger meat
- 2 onions
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 large bay leaf
- 5 whole or 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 5 whole or 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 can kidney beans (optional)
- Cook hamburger; drain.
- Add water and bring to a boil.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer, covered, 3 hours (uncover during last hour).
- Remove garlic and bay leaf.
- Good served over spaghetti noodles or rice.
