Texas Casserole

  1. Brown meat; pour off fat.
  2. Add garlic juice and butter.
  3. Saute 20 minutes.
  4. Add tomato sauce and sugar, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer 15 minutes.
  5. Combine cream cheese, sour cream and chopped onions.
  6. While noodles are cooking according to package directions, alternate layers of noodles, meat mixture and cheese mixture in a 3-quart dish.
  7. Repeat twice.
  8. Top with mushroom soup.
  9. Bake at 325u0b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
  10. Add grated cheese during the last 5 minutes of cooking time.
