Double Chocolate Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
  2. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
  3. In small saucepan, combine butter, sugar and water; bring just to a boil.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add 6 ounces (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Stir until chips melt and mixture is smooth.
  6. Transfer to large bowl.
  7. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually blend in flour mixture.
  8. Stir in remaining 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and nuts.
  9. Spread into greased 9-inch square baking pan.
  10. Bake at 325u0b0 for 35 minutes.
  11. Cool completely. Cut into 2 1/4-inch squares.
  12. Makes sixteen 2 1/4-inch squares.
