Divorced Women'S Chicken
- 1 whole chicken from the butcher
- 1 1/2 cups lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cups orange soda
- 1 handful salt, pepper, onion powder
- 2 sprigs rosemary and thyme
- 2 heads of garlic
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 sticks of butter melted
- canola oil
- 4 bay leaves
- Put enough canola oil on the bottom of your baking pan to coat it, then put the chicken in.rnMelt the 2 sticks of butter, set aside to cool for a few minutes.rnIn the meantime, mix together your lemon juice and orange soda.rnPour the melted butter all over the entire chicken including the legs and wings.rnSeason the entire chicken liberally with the salt, pepper and onion powder all over the chicken, including the sides and under the wings and legs.rnDo the same with the rosemary and the thyme. rnPour the honey all over the top and sides of the chicken, including the legs and wings.rnPour the lemon juice and soda mixture into the pan along with the bay leaves.rnAdd the crushed garlic cloves to the top of the chicken.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours depending on the size of the chicken. If the chicken is on the smaller size, 2 hours should be sufficient.
