Guiltless Scones

  1. Preheat oven to 425u0b0.
  2. Combine first four ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Cut in applesauce; cut until crumbly.
  4. Add honey, egg white and vanilla and mix.
  5. Add fruit and mix. Gradually add 1 tablespoon a time, the yogurt, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  6. Dough should be lumpy and cling to bowl and spoon.
  7. Place dough on greased cookie sheet, forming each scone similar to that of a biscuit, round, about 3 to 4-inches in diameter.
  8. Cook until golden brown.
  9. Scones will have a muffin texture.
  10. Makes 8 to 10 scones.
