Jeannie And Lela'S Overnight Layered Salad
- 1 head lettuce, cut in bite size pieces
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 can drained, sliced water chestnuts
- 1 pkg. frozen peas (tiny)
- 2 c. Miracle Whip salad dressing
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- 3 hard-boiled eggs
- 1 lb. crumbled, cooked bacon
- In a 9 x 13-inch pan layer:
- lettuce, celery, onion, water chestnuts and frozen peas.
- Top and seal side to side with Miracle Whip salad dressing.
- Do not stir together.
- Spread on like you were frosting a cake.
- Sprinkle with:
- sugar, seasoned salt, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese.
- Cover and leave overnight.
- Just before serving, top with chopped eggs, and chopped crumbled bacon.
- Be sure to drain bacon well after cooking it.
